Dii Desert Industrial Initiative Conference. Nov 6-7 2025, Dubai

Background: On behalf of LehmanBush HK Limited, I had the opportunity to join the 15th DII Desert Energy Leadership Summit in Dubai last week.

The first day of the conference was opened by Paul van Son, as President of Dii Desert Energy, who also serves as Chairman of Kaspa Industrial Initiative KII.

The conference was co-organized by the Government of the United Arab Emirates. During the second day of Agenda H.E. Eng. Sharif Salim Al-Olama open the ceremony. He serves as the Undersecretary of Energy and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE.

The core subjects of the two-day conference analyzed the importance of resilience, sustainability, energy trading and energy efficiency in the Region. Including the high demand of energy generation and energy trading infrastructure in the context of the development of existing systems and the current AI and infrastructure necessity for data center to match market demands.

During the second day Rory O’Neill board member of Kaspa Industrial Initiative KII and Member of Dii Advisory Board & Director presented a keynote on “Kaspa’s BlockDAG Technology: Solving the Blockchain Trilemma. The main takeaway of this presentation was precisely brief to the audience on the existing infrastructure and the benefits for using Kaspa as a carrier and settlement layer for energy trading and real utility in the Energy sector for Dii stakeholders in a global context.

In the table below I have listed some relevant corporations that partook the event. These industrial leaders represent Trillions in combined market value and play central roles in global energy, hydrogen, infrastructure, and industrial transformation.

Company Market Cap Annual Revenue Age
Linde PLC ~$200B ~$34B 145 yrs
EDF Group  ~$65–70B ~$140B 78 yrs
GE Vernova ~$45–50B ~$33B <1 yr (but GE legacy)
Siemens Energy ~€18–20B ~€31B

Energy division 5y

Group 150+years

Air Products ~$55–60B ~$13B 84 yrs
thyssenkrupp ~€4–5B ~€38B 25 yrs (220+ legacy)
Jinko Solar ~$1–2B ~$15–20B 18 yrs
State Grid SGCC ~500B 22 yrs
MASDAR Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company ~30-40B 18 yrs
ADNOC Abu Dhabi National Oil Company  ~85-90B 53 yrs
ENOC Emirates National Oil Company ~25-30B 31 yrs

Comment on Installed Capacity and Kaspa’s Potential: The companies at the DII Summit collectively account for hundreds of gigawatts of global energy infrastructure. This includes everything from nuclear, gas, wind, and solar capacities managed by giants like Siemens, EDF, GE Vernova, and Jinko Solar. In total, their footprint easily surpasses 700 gigawatts of installed energy capacity worldwide.

Conversations around ZETA, GIGAWAT Coin and ZET-EX represents a settlement tool to exchange energy instruments permissionless. If even a fraction of that energy infrastructure’s trade flows were settled using Kaspa’s digital infrastructure as a carrier, it would represent a groundbreaking integration of decentralized finance into the global energy market, adding unprecedented speed and transparency to energy settlement and trade.

At the events dinner hosted by Siemens, I shared the table with Charles and Rory from KII, next to me was the Vicepresident of structure finance at SMBC Middle Eeast, a major Japanese Bank and we shared directly insights about Kaspa infrastructure and the feedback was positive.

Reflections: The Dii Desert Energy Leadership Summit brings together the world’s most established and influential energy and industrial companies.

Not every day an Undersecretary of the UAE opens a conference. If you take a look at the protocol, where he is sitting during the event (same table as Paul van Son) and for the Dii members picture he is placed in the center next to no other than Paul.

Kaspa currency, represented by the Kaspa Industrial Initiative (KII), presented alongside these global heavyweights, is definitely a strategic milestone that signals strong institutional positioning for real‑world energy, digital infrastructure, AI‑powered systems, and hydrogen value‑chain opportunities.

Now, it’s worth noting that both Rory and Paul carry sterling reputations in a sector dominated by just a handful of serious global players.

This alignment with Fortune‑500 level industrial actors demonstrates the increasing relevance of decentralized, high‑throughput digital settlement technologies in the next generation of clean‑energy markets.

Reflections for the normal crypto bro out there: Take the largest BTC holder for a second. MicroStrategy is a company that does not sell a product or at least had declining revenue before start purchasing BTC (We are talking about a company that not generated considerable cashflows on a real product or service at least not for what is trade now). MSTR became relevant only by purchasing BTC and building now financial products around it.

Now, take two steps backward and consider companies that have been in existence for over a century and are established industrial giants in the Energy field. This is why Dii is considered to be the “network of networks”.

These presentations were delivered to top executives and decision makers of this industries. The initiatives presented by KII are part of their current piloting and project developments that are build for their stakeholders with a clear market fit.

Kaspa was not mentioned in the context of cryptocurrency. It was presented as infrastructure tool for delivering a solution to this industrial sector.

For me was a privilege to join. Also, worth mentioning that we discussed with Rory and Paul and they are willing to cooperate with LehmanBush in our upcoming endeavor for incorporating a 3C licensed fund manager company in the UAE for managing a Kaspa Qualified Investment Fund QIF before the ADMG.

Further steps: Currently, I am dealing the incorporation process of LehmanBush Capital in the UAE. LehmanBush the firm I represent for the Baltics and Latam, is an investment advisory firm based in Hong Kong, founded by Dr. Edward Lehman American attorney living in China for over three decades and Neil Bush brother and son of former US Presidents.

LehmanBush Capital in the UAE will be a licensed fund manager at ADGM in Abh Dhabi. Under our fund manager I am in charge of an energy portfolio which comprise traditional private equity in the Baltic countries, and our Kaspa Qualified Investment Fund. We have retained legal services for this matter in Abu Dhabi, and we are currently filling the documentation for the In-Principle-Approval IPA; after which the legal vehicles will be incorporated by Q1 2026.

We are discussing with various stakeholders, not only for joining as limited partners or anchor investor but also to be part of our board and management. In this sense, we have discussed with both KII and KEF for bringing together support in our board, and we are considering also incorporating an advisor in the future coming from the community as an expert to discuss governance matters.

I’m convinced Kaspa is a powerhouse of innovation, research, and revolutionary tech that will impact the world. But when this tech meets industrial players who’ve spent centuries building the backbone of global infrastructure… that’s when the impact becomes exponential.

Kind Regards,

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kaspa Experience: The Kaspa Community Lands in Berlin to Showcase the Fastest Blockchain and most powerful DLT  on Earth

Berlin, Germany – September 13, 2025 – As the crypto industry matures beyond its early promises and speculative mania, a new kind of technology is stepping forward, one that blends internet-level performance with bulletproof decentralization. That technology is Kaspa, and this September in Berlin, the world will experience it up close.

The Kaspa Experience is more than just a community gathering. It’s a showcase of the most advanced proof-of-work blockchain ever built, featuring instant confirmation, 10 blocks per second, and a roadmap scaling far beyond what Bitcoin or Ethereum have achieved. The event highlights Kaspa as the fastest, safest, and most decentralized cryptocurrency on the planet, and the foundation of a new era of financial and data settlement.

“At Wolfy’s Bar, we believe crypto belongs in everyday life—not locked away on charts and exchanges. The Kaspa Experience is our chance to show the world how fast, feeless payments can transform how businesses and communities connect. We’re excited to join other innovators proving that crypto’s real power lies in real-world adoption.”  ~ Wolfy

Beyond Bitcoin. Beyond the Hype.
Over the past 16 years, the world has witnessed crypto rise from cypherpunk ideals to media spectacle. Bitcoin proved sound digital and decentralized money was possible, Ethereum brought programmable contracts, and meme tokens made headlines, but often at the cost of credibility. Kaspa is none of these. It’s the next chapter, maybe another volume.

“We created The Kaspa Experience to prove that blockchain isn’t just code—it’s a living economy. This event is where people will see and touch how fast, practical, and open a decentralized network can truly be. We want builders, businesses, and anyone curious about the future of finance and technology to come and discover how Kaspa can empower their vision.”
~ Ashton Wood, Kaspa Alliance for Transparency

Why Kaspa?
Speed & Security: Kaspa processes 10 blocks per second with instant finality, powered by a unique BlockDAG architecture. It’s fast enough for real-time commerce and decentralized enough to resist institutional capture.

Developer Sandbox: Kaspa is a real-time playground for developers. Whether building smart contracts, wallets, or cross-chain tools, Kaspa’s upcoming programmable layer opens the door to creativity and speed without compromise.

Entrepreneur Launchpad: Builders around the world are choosing Kaspa as the launchpad for next-generation apps, from global micropayments to data registries and decentralized identity.

Enterprise Backbone: With real-time, secure, peer-to-peer finality, Kaspa is positioned to serve as the backbone of industrial and financial settlement, powering energy markets, logistics, smart cities, and beyond.

Not Another Casino.
The Kaspa Experience is supported by a wide community, including creators from the KRC-20 ecosystem, but make no mistake: this is not a meme showcase. The focus is on utility, scalability, and infrastructure. While other networks chase hype, Kaspa is building what the world actually needs.

What to Expect
• Keynotes from Kaspa core contributors and global builders
• Developer panels, workshops, and community networking
• Hackathon
• Real-world stories from Kaspa merchants, miners, and entrepreneurs
• High-energy after-party with DJs, visuals, and community highlights

Kaspa Side Event Recap – France’s First Kaspa Meetup at Le Hive, Cannes 🇫🇷

As ETHcc brought global Web3 builders to the shores of Cannes, we had the honor to host the very first Kaspa side event in France, held in the vibrant cypherpunk setting of Le Hive Bar.

The energy was real—an eclectic mix of developers, founders, investors, and curious minds gathered for an intimate and authentic experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, the discussions deep, and the vision shared loud and clear: Kaspa is building the infrastructure of tomorrow.

🎤 Keynote by Igra Labs – A Glimpse Into the Future

The evening was headlined by an insightful conference from Igra Labs, with Pavel, Maya, and Denis presenting their vision for programmable Layer 2 on Kaspa.

“Kaspa is a very performant Bitcoin… but it lacks programmability. That’s why we’re building Igra Network: real-time smart contracts on top of proof-of-work.” – Pavel, Igra Labs

Attendees were introduced to:

Atomic composability for interacting across chains in a single transaction

Decentralization advantages of proof-of-work over proof-of-stake

The new frontier of DeFi: fair, censorship-resistant and miner-agnostic

How Igra wants to attract Ethereum builders looking for a “blue ocean”

Igra’s upcoming testnet (in weeks) and mainnet (Q4) were also revealed, as well as plans to absorb liquidity from verifiable chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and beyond—settling trustlessly via the Kaspa sequencer.

🧩 Open Conversations, Real Connections

Guests engaged in frank, high-level debates on the future of L2s, the broken dynamics of MEV on Ethereum, and the need for fairer infrastructure. We shared ideas on how Kaspa can reshape liquidity flows, attract developers, and unlock new UX for payments and decentralized applications.

🌱 Special Thanks

  • Igra Labs for sponsoring and inspiring the crowd with cutting-edge ideas.
  • Rhubarbarian (Rhubarb Media) for supporting the marketing and promotion, making this event visible and vibrant.
  • Le Hive Bar for providing the perfect underground energy and setting for cypherpunk culture.
  • This wasn’t just another meetup. It was a signal. Kaspa is ready to grow—and France is officially on the map.

Stay tuned for more. The builders are coming!

Kaspa’s Crescendo Update: What Really Happened at the Indore Meetup

By India Kaspa Ambassador, Amit Sharma

The Kaspa Meetup in Indore wasn’t just another blockchain event it was full of real conversations, first-time experiences, and a community that genuinely showed up with curiosity. The highlight? The much talked about Crescendo update.

So, What’s the Big Deal About Crescendo?

Crescendo isn’t just a technical upgrade it’s a major leap for Kaspa. It promises lightning-fast transactions, low confirmation times and the ability to scale smoothly, even with millions of users. And people could feel that potential in the room.

What stood out was how it clicked with everyone not just the devs. Even newcomers were saying, “This feels like something we can actually use, not just speculate on.”

Real Reactions from the Crowd

Many attendees downloaded or updated their Kaspa wallet during the session.

Some were completely new to Kaspa and said this event changed how they looked at blockchain tech.

Students and developers asked how to start building on Kaspa or contributing to the community.

One local dev mentioned, “Most projects talk big, but Kaspa actually showed how it’s solving real problems like speed and fees.”

Another attendee said, “I came here out of curiosity, and I’m leaving with ideas.”

The Meetup Vibe

The energy was authentic people weren’t afraid to ask questions. Conversations flowed naturally, and you could see folks exchanging contacts, joining groups, and already discussing collaboration.

It wasn’t just about learning it was about belonging.

Why It Matters

  • Crescendo is a big opportunity:
  • For builders, it means faster and scalable infrastructure.
  • For users, it’s a better, smoother experience.
  • And for cities like Indore, it’s a chance to get in early and grow with a tech that’s actually ready to scale.

What’s Next?

  • Crescendo is rolling out soon. And after Indore, one thing is clear the Kaspa community is ready to build, share, and lead.
  • This is more than just tech it’s momentum.
  • And being early has never felt more exciting.

Crypto’XR 2025: A Breakthrough Event for Kaspa France

Presence & Organization
Crypto’XR 2025 was a milestone event for the Kaspa France team, marking a significant step forward in our efforts to expand Kaspa’s visibility and adoption in the crypto ecosystem. Our stand was strategically placed in the “Mining” space, reinforcing Kaspa’s strong Proof-of-Work (PoW) identity. Positioned near Blobb.io, this location naturally attracted miners and blockchain enthusiasts, sparking insightful discussions on the future of mining and Kaspa’s place in it.
The Kaspa France delegation consisted of four dedicated ambassadors, along with Eliott Mea, JC, and Mourad. Throughout the two-day event, we engaged with approximately 500 attendees, experiencing an uninterrupted flow of visitors. Every interaction further refined our ability to present Kaspa compellingly, fostering greater enthusiasm within our team.

One of the key highlights was our exchange with “For Mining Space,” where we explored potential collaborations in the mining sector. These discussions reinforced the growing recognition of Kaspa as a serious player in the blockchain space.

Visibility & Content
Our presence at Crypto’XR was amplified by engaging content and interactive sessions:
Live Stream: A dynamic session featuring Marwane & JC, attracting around 70 live viewers on YouTube. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating our insights into Kaspa’s unique architecture.

Workshop on Stage: One of the defining moments of the event was the workshop co-hosted by Eliott Mea, who had previously conducted his final internship under Yonatan Sompolinsky. The session delved into the robustness of Kaspa’s Whitepaper and BlockDAG architecture, drawing considerable attention from both seasoned crypto experts and newcomers. A high-quality video recording of this session is expected to be released soon, further amplifying its impact. During the workshop, we answered questions in a decentralized manner, embodying the very spirit of Kaspa and demonstrating this philosophy to a broad audience.

Encounters & Business Opportunities
The event provided fertile ground for meaningful business discussions and strategic connections:
Developers & Entrepreneurs: We sensed strong anticipation for Layer 2 solutions and smart contracts, indicating a clear demand for Kaspa’s upcoming developments.

Crypto Payments: Companies like Braille and Kamea showed keen interest in integrating Kaspa into their payment infrastructures, a testament to its growing credibility as a transactional cryptocurrency.
Exchanges & Listings: Productive discussions with SwissBorg opened the door to potential exchange listings, a crucial step toward greater market adoption.
Influencers & Media: We secured opportunities for interviews with key French crypto influencers, enhancing Kaspa’s media presence.
Blockchain Education: Engaging discussions with Alyra, a leading blockchain school, paved the way for a future presentation on Kaspa, expanding its reach in the educational sector.
Bitcoin Maximalists: Some of our most intense yet rewarding conversations were with BTC maximalists. We noted a shift in their perspective, with many acknowledging Kaspa’s merits and admitting to mining KAS themselves—without ever selling it. This revelation underscored the respect Kaspa is earning, even among the most hardened Bitcoin advocates.

Engagement & Emotional Impact
Crypto’XR was not just about visibility; it was about unity, energy, and validation. Our stand remained constantly occupied, reflecting a tangible curiosity and excitement around Kaspa. Many visitors already knew about Kaspa, while others left intrigued by its potential. The diversity of ambassador profiles allowed us to provide tailored and complementary answers to different audience segments, reinforcing our collective strength.

One of the most exhilarating aspects was the intellectual challenge presented by skeptics. Engaging in deep technical discussions, dismantling doubts, and sparking curiosity left us with a strong sense of accomplishment. These moments of rigorous debate and genuine interest reaffirmed that Kaspa is on the right trajectory.

Moreover, the camaraderie among the Kaspa France team was palpable. The experience of representing Kaspa together, exchanging knowledge, and witnessing the ecosystem’s expansion firsthand was incredibly fulfilling. It strengthened our conviction that we are not just promoting a blockchain but a movement built on transparency, efficiency, and decentralization.

Next Steps & ROI
The momentum gained at Crypto’XR must now be leveraged to drive Kaspa’s adoption further:

  • Capitalizing on newly established contacts to accelerate ecosystem development.
  • Structuring an ambassador recruitment program in France to maintain our growth trajectory.
  • Strengthening our presence at major upcoming events, particularly PBW (Paris), ETHcc (Cannes), and Surfin’Bitcoin (Biarritz).

Conclusion
Crypto’XR 2025 validated our efforts, expanded our network, and strengthened Kaspa’s foothold in the French crypto landscape.

Thanks to the support of Kaspa Ecosystem Foundation (KEF), we were able to create a meaningful impact, engage with key stakeholders, and solidify our presence in the industry.

Thanks to the Rhubarbarians and the Community Marketing Fund for supporting us all with promotion, planning and design for the merch, banners and stand designs and presentational materials.

The journey is far from over, but Crypto’XR has set the stage for what’s to come: greater awareness, stronger collaborations, and the unstoppable rise of Kaspa.

The celebrations around the globe were amazing! We saw large and small gatherings on every corner of the planet.
Here are some reports so far.  More to be added as we go.

Kaspa 3rd Birthday Meetup – Nigeria

Presented by Nwafor Obinna Balor (Kaspa Nigeria Ambassador)

The Nigeria community met for the 3rd year celebration of the Kaspa BlockDAG on the 8th of November 2024, at Nova Initia Mall, Enugu, Nigeria.

The attendance was a resounding one as we had over fifty (50) crypto enthusiasts and merchants of local businesses gather to talk about Kaspa and how it is a major game changer in the world of cryptocurrencies and digital finance, we also discussed the KRC20 tokens building on the kaspa BlockDAG and of course the endless opportunities for growth and adoption.

The event started at exactly 1:00pm (Nigerian Time) with over 60% of the expected attendees already present and seated. The enthusiasm showed by the attendees was second to none, and they all listened with rapt attention to the speakers and the Nigerian Ambassador.

We had several industry leaders reach the basics of cryptocurrency and how to leverage it to battle inflation and other vices that vigorously affect the Nigerian economy etc.

An onboarding session was organized by the Nigeria Kaspa Ambassador and over 30 persons downloaded the Kaspium Mobile wallet and were as well funded with some $KAS, the flag bearer coin of the BlockDAG ecosystem.

The experience was a wholesome one as the attendees were educated about Kaspa; and this initiative sponsored by the CMF and the Kaspa Global Ambassadors Lead (Rhubarbarian and Luke) is a major stride in the outreach to making $KAS and the kaspa ecosystem a global and a household name among communities.

Kaspa’s 3rd Birthday Online Meetup: Hosted by Oliver

On November 6, 2024, the Kaspa Spanish-speaking community from around the globe gathered on Zoom to celebrate Kaspa’s third anniversary. Participants proudly represented their home countries, including Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, and the US. Originally planned as a 45-minute session, the call extended well over an hour as the enthusiasm for Kaspa’s impact kept the conversation flowing.

We reflected on the lessons learned from Kaspa over the past year, exchanged experiences with mining, and explored strategies for introducing Kaspa to others. The discussion highlighted how Kaspa continues to revolutionize crypto and digital finance. We also dove into the potential of KRC20 tokens built on the Kaspa BlockDAG and brainstormed ways to drive further growth and adoption in this thriving ecosystem.

Kaspa’s 3rd Birthday: Meetup in Miami

I had the pleasure of attending another Kaspa community meetup, this time organized by members of the KRC20 ecosystem, in celebration of Kaspa’s third anniversary on November 7, 2024. What started as an hour-long discussion about what Kaspa means to us quickly turned into a vibrant networking session where we connected with fellow community members.

It was incredibly rewarding to put faces to names I’ve interacted with on X and to make new friends who share a passion for Kaspa. We exchanged stories about how we discovered Kaspa, shared our personal experiences, and explored the potential of KRC20 tokens. For me, the highlight was speaking during the Kaspa segment, where I had the chance to express my enthusiasm for this game-changing project and bond with others who are equally excited about its future.

Kaspa 3rd Anniversary Türkiye Meetup – Ankara, Türkiye

November 16, 2024
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT+3)

Out of 36 registrations, 19 participants (including two miners, existing and new investors, as well as potential investors) joined the event, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. The age range was predominantly 35+, with only one exception. Three attendees traveled from other cities to join the meetup. Additionally, Kaspa influencer Cihan, who had preferred to stay out of the public eye until now, attended the event as a personal friend and shared with the group that I was the one who first introduced Kaspa to him.

The gathering lasted longer than anticipated, with discussions extending beyond four hours. The team came from very diverse professions: underwater offense commando, police officer, graphic designer, knitter, legislative expert, crypto compliance manager, government officials, engineers, , and many more, reflecting the diversity within the Kaspa community.

Kaspa merchandise was distributed at the entrance. The event featured a roundtable where everyone shared their Kaspa journey, fostering warm and close connections among participants. After the initial group introductions, conversations continued in smaller groups, allowing attendees to connect on a more personal level.

A Kaspa-themed cake was cut during the event. Additionally, I held a giveaway, offering a Kaspa Coin and a Kaspa T-shirt I brought from Singapore for me, along with a Kaspa-supported OneKey cold wallet I had won at another event. I contributed these items to the community and have none of them right now 🙂

Some attendees expressed interest in joining a future meetup in Istanbul. Overall, the event exceeded my expectations. Despite the community’s diverse background, the atmosphere was warm, engaging, and inclusive. Participants also assured me of their support whenever needed, and a Kaspa whale offered to provide financial assistance for future events.

For the next meetup, I’m considering creating name tags for attendees. Writing names on stickers could facilitate networking.

Some participants requested not to be in the public eye, so I have excluded any photos that include them.

Best.
Esma

A short story told at the meetup:

In February 2022, a participant who bought Kaspa over-the-counter (OTC) suggested to his brother to create a Kaspa wallet so he could send him some Kaspa. His brother created a web wallet via kaspanet.io and occasionally checked his balance on his phone after that day. He could see the balance but hadn’t checked it in about a year. Recently, when he wanted to access the wallet, instead of the wallet asking for a password, it requested the seed phrases again.

He entered the seed phrases but couldn’t open the wallet no matter what he tried. It turned out that when he initially set up the wallet, the browser’s auto-translate feature was enabled, so all the seed phrases were accidentally saved in Turkish. Since he wasn’t familiar with crypto, he didn’t consider the possibility that the phrases should not be in Turkish. Now, he and his brother have been using ChatGPT to generate all possible variations of the seed phrases and manually testing them one by one for days.

Key Questions Raised:

  1. Mining Concerns:

A miner who began mining in April 2022 mentioned criticisms about early mining being conducted privately by the team. I explained that, as a regular investor, I accessed all information publicly available on Discord as early as February 2022

  1. Political Tweets:

These were brought up again (as they often are). I wasn’t concerned since everyone at the meetup had different political views, yet we all shared the same table.

  1. Recent Price Stagnation:

Questions were raised about expectations regarding the recent price inertia. While refraining from specific price comments, I provided reassuring statements to calm and instill confidence in investors.

  1. Local Exchange Listings:

I shared that we’ve initiated discussions with local exchanges for listing and collaborations, but secondary regulatory frameworks are still waited for listing/delisting processes.

Hong Kong Kaspa Genesis Block Birthday

Nov 8th 2024
Hi from Hong Kong! Here’s a picture of Ezra’s Lane in Central Hong Kong.

Ezra’s lane is not too far from the famed IFC tower in Hong Kong where Batman jumps off the IFC building in The Dark Knight (2008) to capture Lau, a money launderer for the mob.

My friend Joey is the co-owner of The Trilogy, so we organized this meetup with our Crypto Drinks friend Brandon Z. I don’t believe in coincidences.

We had about 90 people sign up and 40-50 people came to see us from 5-9 pm. Not bad for a short-notice meetup. We had a few miners from Shenzhen (SZ), engineers, programmers, VCs, and students. Some of the notable guests were representatives from; Kucoin, Bitmain, and my
buddy from Bell Labs/NCR.

I briefly spoke to everyone about my Bitcoin experiences, Kaspa’s block time, and Ezra 7:18 quote written into the Genesis block.

As I read Ezra 7:18 to our guests, I experienced a profound moment of insight regarding my hero’s journey alongside Yonatan and the team. This feeling was amplified by the coincidence of being on Ezra Lane. Anyway, everyone got to meet each other and talk with each other. And I sent some Kaspa to the Kucoin rep to show how fast it was. I got a video clip of the transaction.

In the end, I thanked everyone for coming and we went to get something to eat. Overall, the meetup had more people than the regular Bitcoin meetups. So I thought it was a good start in HK for Kaspa. The Solana hackathon just had about 200 devs show up, and yesterday thechain broke again. That would be the 11th time I think.

Anyway, here’s a pic of my buddy and I when we met Shai at the Bitmain mining conference last year (2023). We are building a biometric smart card cold wallet for the Kaspa infrastructure. We just got accepted into the Cyberport HK sponsored Incubator. Crypto dot com went through the
same Cyberport system under the name of Monaco. So hopefully we can build an ecosystem like Monaco, but better. We have some big ideas.

Kaspa Turns 3: A Birthday Bash to Remember in Katowice, Poland

Katowice, Poland – November 09, 2024
The Polish Kaspa community came out in full force to celebrate Kaspas’ 3rd birthday at Cybermachina Players Bar. The party was packed with energy, Kaspa-themed balloons, t-shirts, stickers, and a cake so good it could’ve been minted.

This wasn’t just a party; it was a celebration of how far we’ve come. We gathered around the table and exchanged excitement about the new developments. The vibe? A cross-Poland pilgrimage powered by pure Kaspa passion!
From reminiscing about our roots to dreaming about what’s next, it was a night to remember. Kaspa is more than a coin—it’s a community. Here’s to the next chapter!

Australian Crypto Convention (November 23-24, 2024)

By Luke – Ambassador Director and Australian Ambassador

The energy ramped up the moment we arrived at the convention centre. The Kaspa booth became a hive of activity from the second the doors opened. It wasn’t just the tech on display or the sleek booth design—it was the incredible mix of people who showed up. Families with prams, older enthusiasts, developers, first-time crypto explorers, and everyone in between stopped by. Unlike many other crypto events, this felt more like a community gathering than a corporate showcase. The diverse crowd created an atmosphere that was as engaging as it was refreshing.

Our booth quickly became the centre of attention, thanks in no small part to Chad and his team of Rhubarbians for their incredible booth design. From conceptualising the layout to bringing the vision to life, their efforts made the booth a true standout. The life-sized Kaspa battle card and the BlockDAG visualiser were absolute hits, sparking countless conversations. Watching people’s eyes light up as they grasped how Kaspa achieves such high throughput was one of the most rewarding parts of the weekend. Those visual tools always prove invaluable at every convention in efficiently educating the community.

The swag bags, packed with Kaspa socks, coins, and copies of the Kaspa Times and Battlecard, were another hit. By the end of Day 1, nearly every single bag was gone, leaving us scrambling to restock for Day 2. It clearly showed the Australian community’s enthusiasm and interest in Kaspa. I lost count of how many people said they were excited to learn more and share their discoveries with friends and family.

The booth wouldn’t have been the same without the team and community members who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend. Chad was not only responsible for the booth design, but he was also present at the booth, engaging with visitors and answering their questions, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed. JW, from KEF, was a fantastic support—connecting with fans, answering questions, and helping ensure everything ran smoothly. Wolfie was a constant source of energy, sharing his knowledge and passion for Kaspa while keeping everyone’s spirits high with his humour and positive attitude. Monica and Junny, also from KEF, provided valuable support by engaging with visitors and making sure the booth was always buzzing with activity. This incredible collaboration made the weekend feel like a true team effort and highlighted the strength of the Kaspa community.

Key Highlights

Community Helpers

At times, it felt like our team had doubled. Knowledgeable Kaspa fans hanging around the booth naturally stepped in to explain the tech to curious attendees, answer questions, and share their passion for the project. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and seeing how much they cared about spreading the word was humbling. It wasn’t planned—it was just the organic power of the Kaspa community in action.

Diversity of Attendees

Crypto events often attract a particular crowd, but this convention broke the mould for me. From young tech enthusiasts to older professionals curious about blockchain, there was a genuine mix of people eager to learn about Kaspa. It felt like proof that Kaspa’s appeal isn’t limited to a niche audience—it’s truly for everyone.

Fan Representation

The Kaspa community showed up in force. Many attendees wore Kaspa T-shirts, proudly representing the project and sharing personal stories of how they discovered it and why it resonates with them. One of my favourite moments was seeing longtime supporters chatting with new fans, explaining the nuances of the BlockDAG and encouraging them to dive deeper into the technology. The enthusiasm was palpable, and the buzz around the booth didn’t let up all weekend.

A Hint of Excitement

The weekend also brought some unexpected interest from the media. Without revealing too much, I’ll just say that Yonatan had the chance to sit down with some TV producers who seemed intrigued by Kaspa’s story. Who knows? This might just be the start of something exciting.

Kaspa Fam Meetup (November 23, 2024)

After an incredible first day at the convention, we headed to the Sculpture Terrace at the Museum of Contemporary Art for the Kaspa Fam Meetup. With Sydney Harbour as the backdrop, the location was breathtaking—honestly, none of the other side events at the convention could compete. The space was perfect for our planned special evening, which included connecting with the community, sharing stories, and celebrating Kaspa’s third birthday.

Guests began arriving at 7 PM, and it didn’t take long for the venue to fill with a mix of new and long-time Kaspa fans. There was something magical about seeing so many people in one place, all connected by a shared passion for Kaspa. Some fans I’d met before, but many I was meeting for the first time—it was incredible to put faces to the names and handles I’ve interacted with online.

A special shout-out goes to Ashton, Daniel, and Jimmy, who flew in from overseas just to be part of the event. Their dedication was inspiring and underscored how much Kaspa means to its community. Seeing people travel such long distances to connect in person made the evening feel even more special.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the series of speeches. As MC, I had the privilege of introducing Shai, Michael, and Yonatan. Each brought something unique to the table, but it was Yonatan’s words that resonated:

“There’s a natural tendency to form communities around founders, but I hope the Kaspa community is built around itself—I just want to be part of it.”

His humility and vision for the project had the entire room hanging on every word.

The speeches ended with a truly unforgettable moment: everyone joined together to sing “Happy Birthday” to Kaspa. It was a simple gesture, but it felt monumental—a celebration of how far the project has come and the incredible community built around it.

Another standout part of the evening was the Kaspa fortune cookies—a creative initiative by Arnon, one of our most dedicated community members, who sadly couldn’t attend the event. Arnon 3D-printed each cookie, coordinated the entire project, and shipped them to Sydney. Inside each cookie was a seed phrase tied to a wallet, generously funded by Arnon and other community members. Watching guests crack open their cookies and realise they’d received a piece of Kaspa was heartwarming. It wasn’t just a giveaway—it was a beautiful gesture of generosity and connection that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.

The night wasn’t just about formalities, though. Once the speeches wrapped up, it became a lively, informal gathering where conversations flowed as quickly as the drinks. Whether it was swapping stories about how people discovered Kaspa, geeking out over the tech, or just sharing laughs, the camaraderie in the room was unmistakable.

Standout Moments from the entire week

The week was filled with memorable moments. It all began during the drive from Sydney Airport after I picked up Yonatan and Shai. After some light conversation, Yonatan casually asked, “Where is the local chess club?” He explained that visiting chess clubs is something he enjoys doing while travelling. Although I didn’t have an answer then, I promised to find out, which led to a good laugh for both of us.

The next day brought one of the week’s best surprises. Michael, a last-minute guest, had flown in, and I was determined to keep it under wraps. I told Shai we were picking up a Kaspa friend from Dubai to throw him off. While Shai wandered off to get a SIM card, I guided Michael to the shop. The look on Shai’s face when he saw Michael was priceless—let’s just say his reaction involved some colourful Hebrew words and a lot of laughs. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable week.

Another memorable moment for me was sitting down with Anton. While I am no developer, Anton is one of the brightest minds I’ve ever met, and for a solid hour, I bugged him with questions about Rust, his passion for programming, and the future of smart contracts on Kaspa. Listening to him explain the possibilities and share his vision was fascinating—it was less of a conversation and more of a masterclass. By the end of it, I walked away with a much better understanding and a new appreciation for the sheer brainpower driving Kaspa forward.

Shai’s speech on Saturday was another highlight. After multiple attempts at previous events, I finally managed to get the livestream working—a small personal win! The audience turnout was incredible, with fans wearing Kaspa T-shirts filling nearly every seat. The stream wasn’t perfect, but it captured the moment’s essence: Shai connecting with the crowd and sharing Kaspa’s vision with an engaged and supportive audience.

Sunday morning brought Yonatan’s keynote, which packed the theatre. Despite a minor technical hiccup delaying the live stream, the crowd’s energy made it all worthwhile. People were hanging on his every word, snapping photos of his slides and asking thoughtful questions afterwards. The excitement spilled over at the booth, with fans eager to meet Yonatan, Shai, and Michael. The booth was so busy that the crowd often spilled into neighbouring stalls—apologies to our booth neighbours, who were gracious despite the chaos!

A Personal Note

This event held immense personal significance for me. A year ago, I had this big dream of bringing Kaspa’s contributors to Australia so the local community could meet them face-to-face. At the time, I didn’t know exactly how I’d make it happen, but I started talking to anyone, and everyone who would listen—planting the seeds of an idea that I hoped would one day take root.

There were some setbacks along the way. An earlier event I’d pinned my hopes on ended up being cancelled, and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t feel like a gut punch. But I didn’t give up. Instead, I doubled down, setting my sights on something even more significant: the Australian Crypto Convention. Through many discussions (and a fair bit of persistence), the Kaspa Ecosystem Foundation agreed to support the idea, and suddenly, this dream started feeling real.

Seeing it all come together was emotional, to say the least. Watching Shai, Yonatan, Michael, and the rest of the team connect with the Australian community felt like a full-circle moment. From Yonatan’s first question about local chess clubs (no, I still don’t have an answer for him) to the surprise reunion with Michael, it was a week full of unforgettable moments. These weren’t just contributors flying in for an event—they were friends I admire and respect, sharing their time, knowledge, and passion.

What stood out the most was how personal this experience felt. Handing out swag bags, explaining Kaspa to curious attendees, or seeing a crowd of fans in Kaspa T-shirts packed into the keynote sessions reminded us why we do what we do. This isn’t just about building a community; it’s about creating a movement—one that’s grounded in fairness, openness, and collaboration.

I sincerely thank the Kaspa Ecosystem Foundation for their unwavering support. Without their backing, none of this would have been possible. To the fans who showed up, asked thoughtful questions, and shared their enthusiasm: you’re the heart of this community, and your support means the world.

And to anyone who picked up a piece of merchandise, stayed for a speech, or just stopped by the booth to chat—you made this event unforgettable. It wasn’t just an event but a celebration of everything that makes Kaspa unique. Thank you for being part of it. Kaspa is the future.

Thank you to all the Kaspians who joined us last night for our first-ever Sydney $kas @KaspaCurrency Meetup!

It was incredible to see new faces and even some OGs from the community come together—some were curious to learn about Kaspa, and others were reconnecting with like-minded members they’d known for a while.

We spent much of the night sharing stories about how we all discovered Kaspa and recent experiences, such as at Token2049. We also talked about the overwhelming support from @Kaspa_KEF and what it was like engaging with fans at all their recent events. Additionally, we discussed the exciting new initiatives mentioned at the Dublin
@KaspaKii event. The discussions were passionate and enthusiastic, emphasising Kaspa’s potential and organic growth. This sets it apart from the usual hype-driven cycles that dominate the crypto space.

Simply put, think about what is considered ‘normal’ marketing in Cryptoland and do the opposite. You have Kaspa!

Although our group consisted of around 11 people, building communities in this natural, grassroots way is the most meaningful approach to fostering real engagement. Yes, we could have put on a flashy event—and I’ll likely do so in the future—but there’s something uniquely powerful about sitting down with a few new friends over a drink and sharing ideas.

My biggest takeaway is that if you’re unsure about attending one of our Kaspa meetups or even a crypto event in general, I encourage you to give it a go. As people immersed in the digital world, it’s easy to forget that most of our connections happen online. Stepping offline, even for a few hours, can be incredibly rewarding and add depth to those connections we often only experience through a screen.

If you’re sad you missed out on this meetup and are keen to attend future Australian Kaspa Events, join us on our AusKaspa Telegram to keep track of what’s going on with Kaspa in Australia!

Remember, Kaspa will attend @AusCryptoConon on Saturday, November 23rd, and Sunday, November 24th! So, if you’re interested in meeting more of the community, come down!

About Kaspa Industrial Initiative (KII)
The Kaspa Industrial Initiative (KII) is a foundation committed to leveraging Kaspa’s high-performance Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG)-based Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to drive innovation and efficiency across key industrial and enterprise sectors. Our goal is to position Kaspa as the ultimate base layer for various applications, fostering a robust ecosystem that enhances security, scalability, and decentralisation globally while promoting sustainable and ethical development.

Message from Kii board member Rory O’Neill
Hello Kaspa Community,

I’m part of the Kaspa Industrial Initiative (Kii) team, so I will address this one time only for clarity.

Kii is a market enabler, to demonstrate Kaspa capability to Industry and accelerate adoption.

The second goal is to be a collaborative public-private ‘platform’ to facilitate discussion and collaboration;
to create new opportunities and use cases between the private sector, public sector and academia;
to facilitate dialogue with regulatory agencies to ensure easier widespread adoption, so we never end up in a Ripple type situation.

From an energy perspective (our core strength), one of the biggest arguments against Kaspa is that Proof of Work requires lots of energy (of course that is where the amazing Kaspa network security comes from).

Our Chairman Paul van Son’s personal mantra is ‘Our Mission : No Emissions’, we can leverage the zero carbon energy transition to bring down the cost of energy for mining as well as the carbon footprint thus eliminating only negative argument against Kas.

We are an Industry focused organisation and that is where our communication focus will be, you will note our ‘Kaspa in Enterprise’ planned event, to bring together C suite level decision makers.

Kii is privately funded and we are using our resources to initiate studies on emerging use cases for various industries, and where appropriate facilitate pilot projects and assist validated deployments on Kaspa for industrial and B2B applications. We are not interested in creating meme’s.

I genuinely want to thank the Kas Community for their incredible support today. We are awestruck by the positive engagement and the volume of emails with ideas and notes of support.
