Greetings, fellow Kaspians!

Since the beginning (May/June, 2022) when we created the brand, the website and socials for Kaspa, we’ve produced well over 2000 posts and/or designs for social media channels, created or produced 70+ videos for YouTube, and developed countless designs for events, community members, merchants and Ambassadors. Our services and support have successfully helped onboard more than 80 merchants worldwide and 32 regional Ambassadors. We established a new Global Ambassador team to help move that program forward and handed off the lead to Luke. Basic Kaspa Pitch Decks And Battle Cards were translated into 15+ languages for teaching at meetups and other educational events. We supplied custom pitch decks for the core team and ambassadors. We’ve designed and delivered an assortment of new merch and Merchant resources –  Ambassador and merchant resources.

All our work is public on the web from posts to highlight videos from events.

We have faithfully researched, sourced and written content for social posts and manage X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram along with a handful of super mods and have seen the KAS Army grow exponentially, creating their own content on their channels.

With the support of our small but mighty Marketing and Business Development Team, we’ve helped promote numerous new apps, exchanges, pools and others that integrated Kaspa.

Since the beginning of the last CMF funding pool in May/June 2024, we’ve seen significant growth in all social channels.

  • We saw the adoption of Kaspa with Marathon Digital and Greyscale looking at Kaspa. (Mara’s rep mentioned the overall brand presence and grassroots strategy did factor into their decision.)
  • We designed a custom piece of art for Ballet Kaspa Silver Coin (donated time)
  • We have done post-production for 10 Rock the Kaspa monthly news show.
  • Provided design and resource support for Meetups in France, India, Nigeria, Israel, Ghana, Australia, Hong Kong, Poland, USA… 
  • Designed and distributed 3rd Birthday resources for all Ambassadors and large events
  • X = 240,800 followers – One of the highest engagement rates in Crypto history!

*We have seen Kaspa represented and supported through design and promo/merch in France (X3), Hong Kong (2x), Dubai 2X), Warsaw, Austin Texas, Miami, NYC, Vienna, Dubai, Dublin Singapore, and Sydney. 

Each of these events the Rhubarbarains spend countless hours helping to plan, design and create all materials needed for outreach.  Each location sees local ambassadors raised and equipped to represent the cause!

DYK? On X our impressions in DEC, 2024 alone were over 9M? And engagements (clicks, RT, etc) were almost .5M. Even with the Kaspa Way outreach the project is reaching millions.  And this isn’t just preaching to the choir, siloing.  We are averaging about 10k new followers on X each month!  Those are great stats. LinkedIn is steadily growing as well. About 6-8% a month. And all growth is purely organic. But this is an ecosystem effort as well. With each new ambassador, Xspace, video AMA, new article, event, and KEF/Kii/KasMedia mention, we grow.  It’s all organic, grassroots, decentralized just like BTC did and still does.  We equip, and create resources for all to educate, promote and onboard. 

The ASK:

The initial CMF was to be for 3 months. Due to the increasing value and our decision to alter the terms and take the equivalent of funding in USD, rather than the $KAS equivalent, we’ve been able to stretch the funds to 6-7 months!! This includes organising and supporting more key events with merch, creative design, and marketing tools.  Its carried us through this recent sideways price action.

Now, we hope to replenish the CMF to continue our “Kaspa Way” Marketing momentum into 2025 to increase marketing efforts, and onboard more ambassadors and merchants. 

Our focus for Q1-2 2025 is on more Outreach and equipping the community for meetups and large events around the globe with the support of KEF and others. We aim to provide Ambassadors with the necessary resources to form their own teams. Still, additional funds will be necessary for Ambassador launches and to support participation in major 2025 events as well as weekly design needs for print, social media, video production, etc.

As you have seen our global outreach has greatly expanded and thanks to KEF, the larger events have been covered.  But with 50+ Ambassadors onboard and probably 2X that coming in the first half of 2025, and the daily addition of Kaspa Merchants, the demand for Reginal/local launch kits and meetups is coming!  Many of the Ambassadors have their own Kaspa clothing and a pull-up banner as well as pitch decks for presentations, but for each new Ambassador, we want to help them kick off their activity with a fulsome Media Kit and merch for their first few meetups.  These “kits” would include a few shirts for them and other helping Kaspians, a pullup banner (XL Battle Card) A stack of Battle Cards, Sticker sheets, some Kaspa pins, and keychains)  These kits range per region but could easily cost $550 USD per Ambassasor.  Ongoing, for each meetup it would be base costs for refreshments or maybe facility rentals, although we encourage all to find donated space.

A revised effort will be to support more educational resources for video, web and print. The cycle of brand building never ends! 

Coming in 2025

  • A social media series on Kaspa Features/Benefits (ongoing)
  • A revised Battle Card translated into 17 languages, including an interactive web version
  • A New Interview Podcast Series (name TBD) Hosted by Chad

Interviewing merchants, ambassadors, enterprise markets, and others who are adopting Kaspa.  Meeting real people hearing their stories and tips and tricks around adopting Kaspa into their enterprise. I’ll also be doing regular check-ins with Kii and KEF to bring to light highlights of their work.

Budget Breakdown

  • Funds Requested: We’re asking for 33,267 KAS/month (KAS price now is .1503) (equivalent to $5000 USD/month) for at least an initial commitment of 3 months. After this period, we’ll revisit for a new budget review. Should the value of Kaspa increase, we pledge only to spend the USD equivalent (For Rhubarb’s ask), thus extending the funds over more months. As mentioned, the last budget lasted 6+ months.
  • Budget Allocation: 50% of the funds will be dedicated to our content creation,(print, video, web)  communications, Ambassador/Merchant support, project management and resource creation. The remaining 50% will cover Ambassador Kits, merchant support, merch for events as requested and other associated hard costs, as needed. None of these funds will be used for paid advertising. The budget will be directed toward the daily efforts of Kaspa’s organic growth. If no requests are made from Ambassadors or outreach needs, we will allow those funds to extend the work of the Rhubarbarians past 3 months, which we’ve seen these past couple of years, while supporting resources and merch requests from around the globe.

Total Budget: We’re looking at a total of 99801 KAS. If the Kaspa value goes up, we will spread the budget out over more months as we’ve done successfully over the past 2.5 years!

It’s been quite the journey since we first started marketing Kaspa! Initially, our efforts began with the rebranding, a new website, and establishing our social channels. Back then, KAS was valued at .0002. By March/April of 2023, we launched the first official Community Marketing Fund for Kaspa, and the KAS value rose to .013. Now, just 6-7 months later, we’ve seen it climb to .05. Also, our follower count skyrocketed by x100!

Throughout this period, we’ve been hard at work. We’ve produced over 500 posts for our social media channels, created 40+ videos for YouTube, and developed countless designs for community members, merchants and Ambassadors. We’ve successfully onboarded more than 30 Merchants (https://kaspa.org/all-listings) worldwide and 4 regional Ambassadors. This Fall and early 2024, we’re in the process of bringing on 6-8 Ambassadors from countries including Nigeria, Uganda, Canada, the USA, Korea, Austria, Turkey, and Australia. A new page on the site will begin to profile these amazing Kaspains!

With the support of Bubblegum Lightning and Wolfie, our small but mighty Marketing Team (or, as our channel name states, “People with medium-sized brains”), we’ve helped integrate numerous new apps, exchanges, pools, and other strategic affiliations.  This also includes over 20 other social/channel mods, techs, and app and site developers who are contributing to the marketing efforts and use our services weekly.

Our focus for Fall and 2024 is on EQUIPPING and Outreach. We aim to provide Ambassadors with the necessary resources to form their teams. We’re already seeing such developments in Nigeria, where new Ambassadors are emerging under the leadership of Balor. We expect the same efforts in terms of hours. Still, additional funds will be necessary for Ambassador Launches and to support participation in major 2024 events.

Here’s the breakdown:

* Funds Requested: We’re asking for 80,000 KAS/month (equivalent to $4000 USD/month) for the next three months. After this period, we’ll revisit for a New Year Budget review. Should the value of Kaspa increase, we pledge to only spend the USD equivalent, thus extending the funds over more months.

* Budget Allocation: 50% of the funds will be dedicated to our content creation, communications, Ambassador/Merchant support, and resource creation. The remaining 50% will cover Ambassador launches, Merchant support, article research/writing, and other associated costs. As stated, none of these funds will be used for paid advertising or non-Kaspa efforts. While some additional funds might be required for releases or infrastructure costs (like web hosting), most of the budget will be directed toward the daily efforts of Kaspa’s organic growth.

Initiation of a Crowdfund to List KAS on a Tier-1 Exchange

A new crowdfund has been initiated to secure a Tier-1 Exchange listing for Kaspa (KAS). The target of this campaign is to raise $30,000 USD in the form of KAS and USDT, which will be used to cover the listing fee. The window for this fundraising effort will remain open until Wednesday, August 2nd.

Kaspa Community developers, KaffinPX and Not Thomiz have launched an exciting new crowdfunding initiative. They aim to develop an extension wallet for Kaspa, similar to the popular MetaMask wallet for Ethereum. The proposed wallet is intended to be compatible with Firefox and Chromium-based browsers and utilize technologies such as TypeScript, React, MaterialUI, and WASM.

The Community Translators

Digital currencies, like Kaspa, are all about bringing people together, no matter where they are in the world. Borders, countries, and boundaries mean nothing to Kaspa. This makes it possible for anyone to trade and do business internationally. However, there’s one hitch in the scheme of global adoption. A significant portion of the conversations about Kaspa and its governance are still conducted in English, which is only the native language for about 6% of the world’s population. Even if we include those who speak English as a second language, the total only comes to around 19%.

A significant portion of people worldwide still remain excluded from crucial discussions and opportunities to adopt Kaspa. Even in the Kaspa community, where many different languages are spoken, English is usually the primary language for governance. That’s why there’s a real need to better understand and involve people from non-English speaking regions.

The Crowdfund

The Kaspa community has started a crowdfund for 1 million KAS and will continue collecting for 1 month or when donations discontinue. This fund will support the work accomplished in translating Kaspa’s content into different languages. These translators ensure that everyone, regardless of their language, can use and understand Kaspa.

The idea behind the proposal isn’t just about crowdfunding. It’s about encouraging more community members to get involved and help grow Kaspa. By establishing the translators under the Community Marketing Fund (CMF), future sustainability and work overlap with marketing will streamline and enable translations across the Kaspa sphere. The community believes everyone, including non-English speakers, has something unique to offer. Their insights and input are essential for Kaspa’s global adoption, outreach, development, and inclusion.

While English is often the primary language used in the Kaspa community, the reality is that people from all over the world, who speak many different languages, use digital currencies. Translators are not only a service for the English community to grow into niche regions. Their role in connecting people across varied cultures and backgrounds by overcoming language barriers is invaluable.

Beyond the immediate benefit of just understanding content, languages other than English carry immense value for this initiative. Translations give these language speakers a voice in the community, ensure quality communication, promote inclusion within the platform, and enable access to crucial support. This inclusivity nurtures a diverse, prosperous community that is essential for the growth and success of Kaspa.

The Kaspa community prides itself on its members’ dedication and collaborative spirit. Two developers from the Kaspa Discord, @lAmeR^, and @jwj, have stood out for their exceptional work and commitment to the project. In recognition of their invaluable contributions, the community has launched a fundraising initiative to reward their tireless efforts. This crowdfunding campaign is independent and not related to the Dev Fund that is already fully allocated.

Recognizing vital community members’ tireless efforts and commitment is essential in cultivating a nurturing and supportive environment. This fundraising campaign serves as a Kaspa community “Thank you” and is designed to express our gratitude to @lAmeR^ and @jwj for devoting countless hours to the education, integration, problem-solving, and application of their expertise in the pursuit of Kaspa’s success. By acknowledging their hard work and dedication, we cultivate a sense of camaraderie and appreciation, ultimately contributing to the prosperity and growth of our community.

The community aims to collect at least 1 million $KAS to reward these skilled, long-term supporters. There is no set time limit for the fundraiser; it will be considered complete when no more donations are received for an extended period. The reward release terms will be determined by an agreement between the developers.

Kaspa AMA with Rhubarbarian

Bubblegum Lightning/@BubblegumLtng and Wolfie/@Kaspa_HypeMan hosted an upcoming Kaspa Twitter Space to discuss the Community Marketing Fund (CMF) and the crowdfund for the marketing initiative led by community contributor Rhubarbarian/@ChadBallantyne. The event aimed to highlight the importance of community-driven marketing efforts and how they contributed to the growth and success of the Kaspa project. In addition, listeners learned about the role of the CMF in promoting Kaspa, engaging new users, and the objectives of the crowdfund pool in supporting the marketing initiatives.

The primary objective of the CMF and marketing crowdfund was to raise funds to support months of creative content, PR management, and marketing efforts for Kaspa. This period allowed the community to solidify plans, strategize new platforms and programs, and build a strong marketing foundation. The initial grant request for the project was 750,000 $KAS, with a continual CMF fund to continue marketing efforts, much like the operation of the dev fund.

The event offered a unique opportunity for Kaspa community members to learn more about the CMF and the marketing initiative and engage with Rhubarbarian. Attendees were encouraged to stop by to learn and participate in the conversation about the development of Kaspa and its growing demands for marketing.

With great excitement, a comprehensive proposal and opportunity for marketing services have been presented to the Kaspa Community. Rhubarb Media (Rhubarbarian +) brings a deep understanding and vast experience in effectively marketing complex products and services. Rhubarb also has a proven track record in establishing and marketing successful crypto and blockchain projects since 2017. His work and dedication within this community are a clear testament to how he can help take Kaspa to the next level of adoption.

After branding Kaspa, creating kaspa.org and establishing social channels (Summer of 2022), he has been providing visual support for Kaspa in all its diversity as a volunteer. And in the short time, since he began working with Kaspa, Rhubarb has already established a substantial brand presence, exceptional social media growth, and Kaspa outreach/PR across an array of platforms through graphics, text, voice, and video. Kaspa’s story and brand have been creatively framed and visualized through news, socials, the web, and video, and influencers and media are starting to pick up the story. And now it’s time to be more organized, and take it a step up!

Rhubarbarian understands that successful marketing is not only about the work, but also about effective team building and strategic programming and PR management. Therefore, this proposal also focuses on collaborating and equipping existing and new marketing people and ramping up support for Merchants and Ambassadors, providing them with the resources they need to promote Kaspa effectively. This includes working closely with the Devs and other techs to disseminate the details around ongoing development and translate that to the market.

The proposal also includes adding new platforms like a monthly video news series (Rock the Kaspa), KASPods, meetups, and discord scrums, allowing us to showcase Kaspa’s unique features and advantages to a broader audience and engage the Kaspa community with energy and with full transparency.

While Kaspa and the community have an ambitious vision for the future, Rhubarbarian’s proposal offers a comprehensive plan for expressing that vision creatively to the community, new investors, users, miners and media.
